The Rhine city has two inner harbours and is home to four universities, among them the renowned academy of arts, the Heinrich-Heine University. Nationwide, Dusseldorf is known for its shopping boulevard called ‘Königsallee’, its old town, and of course for carnival. Numerous museums and galleries are further attractions for tourists and locals alike. The large number of Asian inhabitants is also remarkable, including a growing Japanese community.
